Project 365, January 26, 2009

24 has fast and furiously become my favorite show. The only problem with this is that they moved it to Monday nights!! That is my night to work at the scrapbook store! I get home and Abby and Joe are already 20 minutes into it... We have DVR, could they have waited? Well, they had to begin it over!

Princess For the Day Crop

Project 365, January 24, 2009

Today I spent the day helping princess' put little books together. Everyone seemed to be having such a good time. It was the RLJ Princess for the day crop at Pinnacle Golf Glub. I was really excited to see how much everyone liked the little book I created for them!! What a wonderful group of ladies. My sister was there, I thought I would stay, but after 8 1/2 hours of teaching, I was wiped out. I am really looking forward to taking time tomorrow to scrapbook for myself!! :)

Do You Know Someone Like This.....?

Project 365, January 23, 2009

Have you ever had anyone come into your life at just the right moment in time that it makes you stop and realize that there is a God in heaven who cares about your needs? This is what happened to me. Roma is an amazing person and friend. When my brother was sick, she was there, constantly praying, sending cards, calling, emailing. Roma is a creative, compassionate, loving woman of God. She has an amazing ability (God given, I am sure) to know when someone needs her.

Proverbs 31

She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: "Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all." Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised. Give her the reward she has earned, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.

Faithbooking with Friends

Project 365, January 22, 2009

Tonight was faithbooking at our church. We are working on an ABC book for our faith. I have loved to scrapbook for years, but there is such a difference when I use the creativity that He gave me to give back to Him. I can journal and be real. Some of these pages are the hardest pages to do, mostly because they are so real. I am really excited because we are scrapbooking till midnight with a bunch of ladies tomorrow. I love being around these ladies they bless more so much!!!

This is my son....

Project 365, January 21, 2009

Joey came home today for just the night so I had to get a picture of him for my project!! He is just an amazing person! Joey goes to Indiana Weslyan in Marion Indiana. He is studying to be a pastor and has such a passion for missions. I can't wait to see what God has in store for him. The hardest thing is that he is so far away. Joey is a rock for our family and always has been. I am just amazed at the person he has become.

A New Day, A New President...

Project 365, January 20, 2009

I will admit that I did not vote for President Obama, I do not agree with, nor will I ever agree with so many of the policies he stands for. I do believe that God is still in control. That gives me peace. With that being said; I respect him and the position that this great nation placed him in. I believe that for every “Christian” that is so afraid right now, there is an equal number of “Christians” who believe that if God wants to be in the whitehouse, He will be there. I certainly will not stand in judgment and I won’t be questioning if this man is or is not a Christian. I pray that God will surround him by sound men and women that will help him lead this nation. I will continue to pray for his safety and the safety of his family.

Why take this picture, when I am not a huge supporter, because this is a huge day, a day in my year, that a president was sworn in. I want my children and their children to know that voting does not mean you will always get our way, it may turn out very different, but that is why we vote. I am so proud to be an American, in a free country, with rights other countries only dream of.

May God Bless our new president and his beautiful family, and protect them from harm. Amen!

ROMANS 13:1,2 - "Everyone must submit to governing authorities. For all authority comes from God, and those in positions of authority have been placed there by God. So anyone who rebels against authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and they will be punished.

ROMANS 8:28 - "And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them."

Football Fever!

Project 365, January 18, 2009

I have always loved to watch my husband get into a football game. I love how he prepares for it, talks about it, researches the teams. He gets so tense. Today was the conference championship games. He was rooting for Pittsburgh, not a normal occurance, but the lesser of two evils. And the fact that Santonio Holmes is on the team, and Joe bleeds scarlet and gray helped. The dogs usually won't sit so close because they can feel the tension, but Sadie is waiting for him to jump up and drop whatever food he is holding. I love him.

Happy 70th Birthday Dad!!

Project 365, January 17, 2009

Today was my dad's birthday so we all met in Beavercreek to have dinner at the Olive Garden. Dad turned 70 and is going through the 'I don't care what my hair and beard looks like' stage. He has lived a hard life, made choices most would not agree with, but if I have learned anything it is to take people for who they are. He has a good heart, and he does love me. I know that. It was still kind of awkward, but all in all I am glad we went, and I pray he has many more birthdays we can share.

Scrip Scrappin Away...

Project 365, January 16, 2009

This is my sweet friend Gwen. She also works at Red Letter Journals. We spent the evening scrapbooking for our employee Christmas Party. We ate too much and laughed too loud. But that is what makes scrapbooking fun!! She is also doing Project 365 so we took a picture we could both use.

Baby It's Cold Outside

I Love Snow!!

Project 365, Day 14, January 14, 2009

Today I would like to introduce you to my beautiful nieces, Sara and Deven. I had the opportunity to pick them up at daycare today. I was so excited to get them outside in the snow, frankly I don’t think they could figure out what the excitement was all about, but that is just how I am!

Of course, I had to take an extra picture because once I saw Sadie on her way in, well you know… who could resist it!!
Side Note:
I am missing my kids today. Indiana does not seem so far, but when I want to watch them make a snowman, they might as well be in China!! Maybe they will send me a picture. 4 more months!!You know your kids still need you when one calls and immediately says “Hi Mommy”… It is freezing, and I forgot my coat. Wow, but I bet he has his phone, ipod, game system, girlfriend…. I (trying not to yell) say go to Wal Mart I will put money in your account, get a coat. No, I have a sweatshirt , I should be fine.. Of course and immediate text to his older sister to find her wittle bubby a coat from one of her friends went out!!

Abigail Drew, Who Loves You?

Project 365, Day 13, January 13, 2009

This is Abby, my fun child. She is the child that I enjoyed the most. I wasn’t stressed out over when she was potty trained, or when she would walk. She did not have to know all her colors or read before anyone else. She was not supposed to happen in the world’s eyes or my doctors eyes, but God had a different plan. He blessed me with this beautiful girl who amazes me every day. She loves Jesus and has such a strong walk with Him. When I am mean or say something I shouldn’t (not that that ever happens!) she lets me know the right way to act. Abby is a prayer warrior and a true friend to all who know her. She can be serious, but not very often, she loves to laugh and make others laugh especially me!!

3 John 1:4
I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.

Matthew 21:16
" 'From the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise' ?"
